San Diego University vs ASU

On December 3, 2024, the Arizona State Sun Devils hosted the San Diego Toreros in a men’s college basketball game at Desert Financial Arena. Despite an early 12-point deficit, ASU rallied to secure a commanding 90–53 victory, marking their sixth consecutive win and improving their season record to 8–1.

The Sun Devils’ comeback was fueled by a 10–0 run late in the first half, giving them a 40–33 lead at halftime. They dominated the second half with a 19–1 run, outscoring the Toreros 50–20 in the final period. Freshman guard Joson Sanon led the team with 19 points, hitting 5 of 8 from three-point range. Forward Basheer Jihad also contributed 19 points, including 8 of 11 from the free-throw line. Freshman center Jayden Quaintance added 10 points, nine rebounds, and five blocks, continuing his strong defensive presence.

ASU’s defense held San Diego to 33% shooting from the field and just 2 of 19 from beyond the arc. The Sun Devils also out-rebounded the Toreros 48–33 and recorded 10 blocks. San Diego’s Kjay Bradley led his team with 15 points, while Santiago Trouet added 10.
